John Fuller from Parkside Police Station is coming to Coton at 10am on 26th February to talk to us about Speedwatch and to train interested villagers how to operate a mobile speed camera.

There is a lot of concern among villagers about the volume and speed of traffic  through Coton, and Speedwatch should both discourage people from speeding, and allow us to collect solid information on any speeding hotspots in the village.

The training will last 2 hours.   Having completed the training, volunteers are then able to borrow the police mobile speed camera and record the speed of traffic in the village at times that suit them (subject to it not being booked out by someone else, of course).

If you are interested in coming along to the training session on 26th February (or future training days if you can’t make 26th February), please respond to this post or contact the Parish clerk on 01954 210241.
